How can I enter my code into a Grundig car 200 radio/cassette?

I have Grundig Car Radio in
Ford Falcon,and I have Code,
I tried to reset it by pressing and holding
Down the AS button,
The Radio bips,but still showing the word SAFE
Instead of Code.
Can you please help me

If it says "SAFE" leave the ignition OFF, hold down the AS button and push the dial to turn the radion on. The rest is as above.

The manual says there is a digital display but I can't see where. And no noises. And I don't know how to tell if the radio is switched on or not.

Thank you Jan this answer worked for me. The display showed 09 and not 10 but the radio did work. Does anyone know why it came up 09?

Hi Frank,
With me, it didn't work like Brian's.

I had to switch electricity on, without necessarilly starting the engine.
Then I had to push in parallel both radio-start- and the AS-button.
about 3 seconds the radio will beep. Release the AS button.

The display should show 'CODE 10'. This refers to the number off attempts you are allowed to input the correct code.

You enter the code using the buttons 1,2,3, & 4.

For example, if the code is 5678 press,

button 1: 5 times
button 2: 6 times
button 3: 7 times
button 4: 8 times

When you have entered the code, press and hold down the AS button again until it beeps and your radio will now be reset and starts immediately playing.

My car is also a Corsa with a Grundig Car 200 and I had to reset my own recently following a battery disconnection.

Make sure that the radio and the ignition are both turned off.

On the radio, press and hold down the 'AS' button, then turn on the ignition.

After about 3 seconds the radio will beep. Release the AS button.

The display should show 'CODE 10'. This refers to the number off attempts you are allowed to input the correct code.

You enter the code using the buttons 1,2,3, & 4.

button 4: 8 times

PS

If your code has a zero in it, treat it as a 10.
