How can I remove stains from upvc?

My upvvc has ingrained stains from bird droppings. I have removed the superficial mess but don't know how to get the ingrained stain out. Can you help?

A SPONGE PRODUCT 'the ERADICATOR' claims to raise all stains on upvc (costs under £5)

Try 'Bar Keepers Friend' available at most supermarkets (Sainsbury's) Apply with damp cloth (its a white powder).
Dont be afraid to rub hard as will not damage surface. Also good for stained plastic sinks/worktops.
