astra 1.7td estate car 99 t fuel prob?

rac been out check said crank sensor dud put new one on still no fuel to engine any ideas or is it safe to say fuel pump dead

if it is the ecotec engine in prob is the pump if its the other it prob the fuel pump ecu located at the back of engine
