Question - mend, repair, fix

how to control the temperature? ?

Hi I have moved into a flat with night storage heaters,Creda storage heater model 79065B there are no instructions. How do I set them properly, I'm finding in the morning the place is really warm but by the time i'm home from work, it's a lot cooler, and i'd like the heat in the evening aswel as the morning. At present the room temp is set at 3 and the auto set control is 4.
