how can if remove pebble dashing?

how do i remove pebble dashing from all external walls and how would i make it pleasing to look at after this is done.

this would be very time consuming removing even with a jack hammer chisel.
if pebble dash is sound, try a lick of masonry paint in a different colour
houses were very often pebble dashed because of a way of waterproofing the underlying poor quality bricks used.
