Mend Unitron 27" Television Repair Power

What causes a CRT tv to black out with the power light still on at the fron?

27" CRT FLat Screen. Unitron Brand. Purchased 2006. Never serviced before.
Blacks out of late. Power light remains on at front. I would then power it down. After 15-20mins rest, I get it to power on like normal. Then blackout happens after a while again. No particular cycle for blackouts.
