Mend Epson C46 Printer Cleaning

epson c46 error?

Each time i put the printer on the cleaning process starts, then stops and the whole carraige moves across the whole way and back 3 times, stops then the red and green lights flash alternately. I have put new ink cartridges in but the printer still keeps doing this so obviously I can't use it.
