Think about it. What is the common link? It can't rinse until it DRAINS the soapy wash water. It can't spin with water in the bowl so it has to DRAIN first. You have caused the problem with the bulky item. Some part of it has gone down in to the drain pump & stopping it from draining the water. You will now have to get someone to remove the drain pump & clear out the rubbish blocking it.
