Mend Kitchen Laminate Worktop

how do i repair a chip in a laminated kitchen worktop?

i have accidentcly chipped the rounded front edge of my kitchen worktop ( about the size of a thum nail) some of the chip is just the laminate but some has gone into the wood but no more than an eight of an inch.
