i need help! its broken!

when i had my computer which was xp the webcam worked fine for everything,pictures,videos,windows live messenger. for my last birthday i receved a laptop with vista as its program. i downloaded the webcam on to it and it works fine for taking pictures and videos ect. but it does not seem to work for windows live messenger. help anyone ?? :D

all u got too do is take the usb driver [the plug u attach i the labtop] take it out and put it back in

webcam works on my laptop with another user, but cannot see my wife at home on the desktop. She cannot see anyone on desktop. Any ideas?

make sure that the webcam mic is the default mic! u have to go to control panel> sounds and audio and make the cam mic the default recording device!
