I have an 10+years old Panasonic 4-Head vcr with a vcr tape that will not eject? Can you advise me how remove it without taking it to a repair center? Thank you.
hey jim,
Thanks for your answer. To be honest, when I saw your answer I laughed a little. But when I tried it I laughed even harder, why? Because it worked! I was trying to get that tape out for hours, and your simple solution worked. Incredible! Thanks a lot.

A simple trick which got my VCR back in business: 1)Unplug the machine.
2) Wait for several minutes (I left it overnight). 3) Turn the VCR upside down and plug it in.
4) Press eject.
It worked!

I have the same problem with a Panasonic NV-FJ600 VCR and have not yet figured out how to manually wind the cassette out. When all else fails, go to www.User-Manuals.com where you can order a service manual to download in pdf format. The manual for my VCR costs USD15.
