Whirlpool washer isnt filling?

The Motor carbon brushes may be worn .If the drum does not rotate first it will take water.{the drum probably rotates when empty no load ,but will not when loaded hence no fill}.Plug out,remove dispenser drawer,lay on side .motor underneath,brushes held in with 2 screws on back end of motor remove and if they are short 5mm and ends are not smooth Replace
481236248004 is part no.Dont forget to snap off retainer tab that holds caebons in holders Good luck
