The engine coolant too hot (red) indicator has came on in my son's Fiat Punto. Is there anything I can do to fix or should I take it back to the car sales showroom I bought it from 2nd hand. It's 6 years old and he's only had the car 2 months !
Puntos have a horrible reputation for overheating problems. The radiators fail (the plastic cracks), they lose coolant, overheat, and then the head-gasket will very often blow. The subsequent repair bill can then be several hundred pounds. Take it back and get the dealer to fix it within the 3 month warranty period.
