if its like ford cars in general then itl be the idle speed control valve buggered get a new one =)

if it has a turbo remove intercooler pipe from turbo and check for play in impeller,if you feel there is play the oil seals may be at fault and the engine is drawing in this oil and running on it,worth a look good luck
