How can i fix my potterton puma 80 pilot lite but wont fire up?
The pilot light is lite ok, but when i turn on the heating or the hot tap the system seems to do everything right but the pilot light does`nt fire up, after about five seconds there is a funny noise from the gas chamber. the fan and pump are working fine and there are no low pressure lights showing
Yes yes yes. That did the job. The Air Pressure Switch clear hose (top right of boiler) had perished and split where it fastens to the fan. Discovered this after days of headache & replacing the DHW Flow Switch, PCB and the APS! (Potterton Puma 80 P/Pilot)

one of the biggest problems with this type of boiler is dry joints on the curcuit board + air pressure switch pipe often cracks were it clips on near the fan.
