Ford Transit problem with lights?

Hi. I have just bought (2 wks ago) a 58 reg Transit Trend from a trader. I didn't notice anything drivin home but the following day I noticed that when I indicate, the rear fog light indicator comes on on the dashboard! Also when I push the footbrake this happens?! Then a few days ago when indicating, the dashboard indicator arrow flashes very quickly even tho all bulbs are ok? I have now inspected all the rear lights when the left or right indicator is on (flashing quickly) and everything is flashing in a strange way even the tail lights? help please. Thanks. John

Ford Ford Transit Trend Vehicles, Vans Ford Transit Electrical

Dealt with this problem on many trannys,take your indicator bulb out usually white in color. Use wire wool and clean light socket and bulb its self. Main cause condensation and check earth connection.

think you will have to have a good look at your light clusters and pay particular attention to all earth wires and connections,make sure all bulbs are fitted correctly,have seen a lot just rammed in any old way causing problems
