How can I fix my Hotpoint BWD129?

I did what Stevo suggested. I couldnt manage to pull the machine out, so I put a roasting tin under the black filter and loosened gently to let the water empty. When I got it open there was a piece of coat belt in it! All is well now, thank goodness. Thanks stevo

had a similar problem with ours. did not drain therefore would not rinse or spin.
turn machine off as something is likely to be blocked or jammed.
remove drainage hose at rear and lower down into a bucket or bowl to drain out. this can be done a lot more controlled than undoing the filter straight away.
once drained sufficiently, door will unlock.
by turning anti-clockwise, undo and pull out the black filter front bottom right. this might be stiff, mole grips help. Clean filter.
About 4 inches inside that hole you should see a 4 bladed pump propeller.
Ours was jammed up with two hair clips that had somehow got in the wash. remove them (or whatever blockage) piece back together and give a go. this fixed ours. good luck!

after draining washer of water remove sump pipe the one thats attached to drum outlet clean out advance to the pump undo pump WIPE THE LIP and BLOW LIKE A TRUMPET PLAYER TOWARDS the outlet IF U GO RED suspect BLOCKAGE if ok now need to have a look at pump check impeller is free might be seized as u said no pump out, replace with a new one, reassemble machine
