How do I replace a laminate board without lifting out all the others?

I have just laid a new laminate floor and have now discovered one of the boards is chipped. It's at the wall so one edge is free. I don't want to use a colourfill repair kit as these don't look so good and I can't really lift the other boards as many of them are now under installed cabinets. Is there a way I can cut it out. If I can, then I could replace it by chiseling away the grooves on the new board and putting it in with adhesive.

Yes, same here. The wood breaths and with expansion contraction the gap can be less than it would be when new. You cannot trim the edge of the new section so the only option is to take out all of the boards as far as the damaged piece, then refit from there.

I had this problem today. I layed about 45m of laminate and it went down well and looked great. Unfortunately there were other tradesmen on site and wilst cleaning up I spotted a large scratch in the middle of the biggest area. The whole lot needed to come up! I managed to cut out the damaged board by drilling a hole and then cutting down the middle of the board with my jigsaw at an angle. Removed the board without damaging those around. I cut of the larger groove on a new undamaged board, applied some wood glue to the under side of the board, clicked it into place and left my tool box on it for a few hours. Looked as good as new! Well is it all new but you get my drift. Just take your time and be careful and it you'll find it can be done!!! good luck

Hello ran,
It's not that easy, I have tried it, you really will have to bite the bullet and pull the other boards out otherwise if you8 cut it you will find it won't fit peoperly.
