When I press the button on the top of the vacume cleaner to actiavte the motorised brush bar - the brush does not stay on... as I move the vacumn cleaner the brush goes on and off and then goes off completely - I can use it at all for my carpets. When I look under and press the brush button the brush works correctly but when I move the vacumn up and down the brush turns on and off.. What can I do?
There is an internal switch in the machine that stops the brushbar rotating when the machine is upright (to stop the brushbar running on the same piece of carpet while using the hose). Once the machine is reclined for use (when the rear stand pops up) the brushbar should start and stay running until the machine is either returned upright or the brushbar button is pushed to turn it off.
