Waste Toner on Canon 5870 photocopier?

There is an error message on our Canon 5870 copier sayng "Empty the Waste Toner" but we cannot find the wast toner collecter anywhere. How to clear this error

I think you may be looking in the wrong place. The waste toner is on the right hand side bottom rear corner. Its a long pannel about 16 inches high and 5 inches wide and from memory held on with 2 screws one at the top and one at the bottom. it is in the main body of the machine so if you have any addons you will have to move them out of the way first.

Thanks Bob, but this did not help. There is no panel where you say. Ours is a IR5870Ci.

OK.. Stand in front of the machine. Go round to the right hand side of the copier and you will see a pannel in the bottom right corner. The container is behind this pannel. Empty into a strong plastic bag and avoid causing any dust.
