ford cd 6000 rds problem?

hi my FORD 6000 CD PLAYER doesnt respond when i press the buttons,it was working fine yesterday,then when i went out later it came on on my chosen radio channel but i couldnt change to a differnet channel as the unit wouldnt respond.So i disconnected it and re plugged it in and now it asks for the code,i have the code but i cant enter it as the buttons dont seem to work,the only one that works is the on off button any ideas please? thanks
