any tricks in getting badly rusted brake lines apart?
I have a leak in the metal brake line at the back of my van how do you get badly rusted lines apart without destroying the next section attached to it!I have used wd 40 on the fittings but nothing seems to work.
I have had to replace brake lines on whole van or car from up north will all the salt on the roads ....its like cancer ......touch one line and all the rest screw up

heat,it will crack the rust,beware of fuel pipes and fumes,try a small blow torch with adequate fire precautions,

Spray either PB Blaster or Liquid Wrench on the fittings. That should loosen them up.
