Aprilia 125 RS - 56 Plate?

I have an Aprilia 125 RS. It starts up ok but with a lot of smoke, then when i am riding it it struggles to get to 30 mph. It really struggles on inclines and can only do about 23 mph.
Does anyone know what this could be caused by and how i can fix it.?

a friend done mine for me,but theres not much to it and its not overly expensive if ur fittn yourself.theres loads of pdf manuals for the rs125 on the net,u should download one,itll always be handy.iv faith in ya!

Yeh it's defo 2stroke oil in there - there is a lot of smoke when i start the bike but it's not too bad after riding it for a bit.

If it is the piston ring is it hard to fix... did you do it yourself or go to a mechanic.?

i had an aprilia rs that had the same problem,mine turnd out to b a piston ring.if its smokn all the time dont b riding it,these engines are tempramental buggers.u might end up doing even more damage.a full rebuild is around £400.did you defo put 2stroke oil in and not gear oil or anythng?
