Damaged photograph?

I have a colour photograph which is stuck to the glass in the frame. I have tried steaming it but it still will not come away. Any ideas.

Regards

Evelyn

Can you scan it on your PC with the glass still attached? You could then make a new print from the scan. If you don't have a scanner, your local Photo Shop could do it.

hi evelyn, in the old days of film and photo processing, to get the glossy finish to the photos when you had printed them, you used a machine called a dryer glazer. Simply all this did was to dry the print or prints on a the highly polished surface to give the gloss finish to the picture. Now what you have to do is reverse the process by trying to soften the print long enough so that it releases the print to glass surface, this may be helped by using a mild washing up liquid. In the early days of my photographic expereince we used the commercial photo softner for glazing. I hope this may help. By the way don't be in to much of a rush,it might be worth it.
