My Panasonic RV31K, door won't stay shut, keeps opening w/wo cd in it?

Is there any way to reset this DVD, My Panasonic RV31K, keeps opening the drawer. If you put the disk in and close, it will open. If you take the disk out and close, it will open. If you remove the disk and close and turn off unit, in will open before it shuts down, any solutions?

I replaced a pick-up in a UK version of this unit (DVD-RV31BS) a while back. I seem to recall requiring the Panasonic Service Recovery Disk to reset the unit to overcome this problem. They're cheap but you need the correct one for the model & probably they're only available to dealers.

The computer case may be blocking it from closeing all the way, I just had this happen to me. Make sure nothing is blocking the tray
