I just found the answer to this riddle. Once you unscrew the two screws at the bottom, just separate the white plastic cover from the tank (around the handle) and it will come off, work your way around the border of the tank with a knife or screwdriver. Be sure to separate it from both sides and the tank will be exposed.

undo the 5 or 6 small hexagonal screws ( i used a small flat screwdriver ) then pull of the black knob which should come of quite easily underneath is a small nut undo this now it should be loose enough to lift whole top of but remember to keep the lugs inside aligned when u put it back also make sure the rubber seal around your hoses sits right funny enough was doin one today good luck
