usb device malfunction bubble ?

I am having trouble with a bubble on my HP desktop that keeps showing up. The bubble states usb device malfunction windows (XP) does not recognize it. I am trying to use Phillips SA60 mp3 player. I received an error message from windows that stated it is an intel graphics problem. I attempted to download driver from driver detective, but they wanted $9.95 with renewable fees. I am not even sure this would work.

Assuming that you have lost anything that came with the MP3 player, have you tried Philips? www.philips.com

They are big company and so it may take some searching.

You don't say what driver you were trying to download but generally speaking don't use these driver sites as they charge you for stuff that is free from the manufacturers of the devices.
