It sounds like you have a frost free freezer, but with a wet wall self defrosting fridge. If there is ice build up in one specific area, that keeps growing then first check the wet wall of the fidge to see if it is evenly covered with ice droplets that then thaw and drop into the drain gulley. If the frosting (after you have removed the large chunck of ice) is even then you may have a problem with the foam insulation. If the fridge wet wall is only partialy frostd, then it is likely that there is a system fault with the refrigeartor gas system.
