I have recently installed a Veritas R8 Plus Alarm panel, I fitted a new external sounder and using the existing PIR's. I also fitted a remote keypad (the one shown in the manual without the LCD display)
Having had lots of problems with the tamper fault staying on being unable to pin point the error. I spoke to the manufacturer and they gave me the usual spiel and i have proved it isnt the tamper circuit.
Then a week or so later the panel itself had a constant alarm (not the usual) and the remote keypad had power but now when i press any button there is no tone or action from it.
Im in Worksop, near Sheffield.
Thanks for your reply J, Ive spoken to Texecom again and they are saying that its a T and R problem. I rewired the Keypad with fresh cable local to the panel......still no joy. Ive since ordered a new keypad from Honeywell.
