Sanyo Z30 Cd lid catch broken?

Hi there, my old faithful Sanyo Z30 portable stereo (not very!) lid catch has bust, it doesn't stay closed any more, any ideas on where I can get one from or how i can fix it?

Hope these directions are easy to follow. Take precaution to power dangers. Use these directions at your own risk (that's to cover me, but really there is no need to worry). I've been repairing electronics for 15+ years, so I hope I don't lose you.

I just fixed my today. Remove all the long gold screws. Then remove the two black screws that hold the CD assembly in place. Pull the case apart. You may have to remove plug connections as you pull the case apart. PAY ATTENTION to where the ribbon cables go. TAKE A PICTURE as you get ready to unplug connections. NOTE the connections are removed by pushing down on the plug end on the circuit board and pulling the ribbon cable out. To fix the CD tray you can either buy a new catch assembly or do like I did and just remove the spring that keeps the CD door open. I think it puts too much tension on the catch assembly. Now when you are putting it back together, manually hold the door in place while you are holding the CD assembly (that you unplugged previously) and make sure the switch (near the rear of the CD unit, under the CD tray) that detects whether the door is opened or closed physically makes and breaks the contact, as you open and close the door manually. You may have to play with this when you put this back together. To help finalize and test things, I removed the circuit board from the face plate and situated the CD door switch correctly (by bending) so that it worked right. When that's done you can put everything back together and you will now have to lift the door to put in a CD, but the catch will still have enough grab to it to keep the door closed. The CD will play fine because the top floating piece on the top of the CD door is actually a magnet. So the CD won't flop around while it's playing. Hope this helps.
