How can I fix my Vax Rapide Carpet Washer Deluxe V-026?

How can I fix my Vax Rapide Carpet Washer Deluxe V-026? It justed stopped working without warning. Checked the fuse in the plug and no problem there. Appears to be no power. Removed handle and control panel. Behind this there appears to be some sort of fuse which looks strongly like its blown. Any ideas on how this can be checked/fixed?

Just had a similar fuse fault, stripped down handle and checked fuse (blown). This can be easily replaced with the use of a soldering iron. Fuse I have been informed is 6.3amp.
Easily obtained from local electrical parts supplier. Not expensive so not a problem. Put back inside insulated sleeve and use as normal....happy days

This is a quickblow fuse, rated as 6.3A they are around 30pence each, you will need a new one. and make sure you seal it back up in a clear shroud or inline fuse holder
