loose blades on Insinkerator 444?

Is there a way to tighten the cutting blades on the insinkerator 444 {garbarator}. The blades are very loose and I cant seem to find a bolt to tighted. Do I need to take out the whole unit first to fix?

I am having the same problem. When the unit was purchased the blades were quiet. Now, after a year or so, they make a rattling noise when in operation and particularly louder once the unit is turned off as it slows down.

Do you mean the two(2) blades on the plate that you can see if you look down the hole ?

If yes, those two blades should be able to turn loosely due to the centrifugal force of the spinning plate, therefore not jamming up the machine if anything gets stuck in there
