How can I fix my DeLonghi model ESS 601 W?

Turning either the oven or grill on trips the earth leakage circuit breaker on the house mains, thus turning all the power off. However, there is no consistency as sometimes the oven and grill work okay, or only work for a short while. I have noticed that both the oven / grill and thermostat switches become very hot due to a leaky oven seal at the left hand side. The hob plates all operate without any problems.
