Emachine w3107 wont start up after mb replacement?

The video went on the motherboard of my emachines w3107. I replaced the motherboard but it will not startup. First off I think I have some cables wrong. The Nvidia boot agent says media error check cable. When I try to start normal get blue screen after XP window but not on long enough to see what message says.

Answer given by Kezza is incorrect. When changing a motherboard you cannot use the original recovery disk to reload windows. The disk required will be an original gold microsoft disk to perform option R from the recovery menu. This allows the hard drive to communicate with the new board board and restore windows without any data loss. Done loads like this, but Kezza's method will not work.See my entry on this page regarding this on this link http://www.howtomendit.com/answers.php?id=280704

BACK UP ALL DATA BEFORE DOING THIS !!!!!!!!!!! As it will format your hard drive.

Whenever you change the motherboard(MB) of a PC, be it any PC, Windows refuses to start as it doesn't like having the MB changed under it. It is something to do with licensing and copyright protection. The simple thing to do is find the restore disk that came with your PC. Turn on your PC, and open the CD drive, restart the PC and boot from the CD, if it doesn't do this automatically. This will re-install your copy of windows. During the installation it will ask you to insert the disk that came with your motherboard which it uses to install your MB drivers. When installation is complete you will have register Windows. All in all it should take about 20 minutes or so(Your actual mileage may vary)

sounds like a driver issue with your new board have you done a new install of windows or have you just put the old hdd back in, if you used reatore disks they may not contain the correct drivers for your new boards components need to get an os disk and boot from that
