Pressure button switch?

I need to know where I can in the U.K get a pressure button switch to operate the motor on my Rollaway MK2 garage shutter door. I’ve been informed it’s a 240v motor and will take direct wiring through switches. I want a pressure switch for safety if I fall A. over. B and drop the control the door stops. Toggle switch would continue.

A new control panel £400 can’t afford being on the famously noted lowest state pension as I’m not able to claim expenses like our members of the government can like ALLEGEDLY according to newspaper were asking the tax payer to foot a bill for a Floating duck Island, Moat clearing , ‘Over £800 for a TV and over £600 for a mattress.

Thanks to you both have solved it I have found one that is key operated and returns to OFF if key is released. It replaces existing systems and can take direct motor connection. The second part would take too long to explain.

Without getting too political do you mean a momentary switch like this one?:

Depending on how your garage door works you might need 2 - one to open it and one to close it, or a different kind of switch, but if you stop pressing the button because you've fallen over/passed out/lost interest/forgotten what you were doing etc, the motor should stop.

Although I agree with your second paragraph it adds no clarity to what you seek in the first...

Pressure switch? What do you mean - a floor pad you stand on? Something that responds to air pressure? A switch that has to be depressed and held down to make contact?

I suspect you're looking for something similar in principle to the "dead-man's-handle" on an underground train - relax the pressure and the door stops moving. A simple push to make switch in an enclosure might be what you need - Maplins Electronics are a reasonable supplier for this kind of stuff in the UK and they have a web site...

You will need to ensure the swich is rated sufficiently to cope with the current of the motor - you will need a non conductive enclosure (ABS box), cable entry and exit glands, connection cable and terminal block to make connections at the door control. I do not understand the text, "Toggle switch would continue."

I would expect the materials to cost you in the order of £20.

Good luck...
