Fergie TED 20 fires but wont start?

I have a Fergie TED 20 TVO. I have rebuilt the engine and the timing has been reset. New plugs, points, coil, rotor arm etc however when I try to start it, it fires, coughs & splutters but wont run. please help

is the dizzy rotor/ spindle out by 180 degrees????

try putting the clutch in high or low and see what happens mine dose the same thing
