To anyone else with this problem Dimplex OFC2009Ti - try pressing the Reset (R) button on the right of the clock with a ballpoint (or similar) and holding down for a few seconds until the clock comes on. For now, select Manual On (Press MODE)... and see if heater warms up (select Max Thermo and position 3 on controls).
If this has worked ... leave heater on (either Off or whatever heat level you want) for a good time to charge battery up (suggest at least 8 hours).
After this, you should be able to PROGRAM or continue with Manual mode (PS be carefiul not to have selected Manual OFF ... ie. keep jogging Mode button until Display shows Manual On (V.small letters to extreme lower left)
Hope this fixes!
