moving an electric socket?

i am about to have a new radiator fitted but there is a double electrical socket that will require moving to another wall....the floor in the room concerned is a solid screed floor.... all the walls are also solid .. no studded walls ... can you suggest a way to move the socket to another wall without to much inconvieniance...could i dig a channel in the floor as there is an open doorway between the 2 walls,or will i have to chanel out the wall when wiring via the loft
.... thanks

From what you've described I would expect the wiring to go through the ceiling.
You could either cut the cables in the loft where they go down through the wall and connect them together in a junction box, then spur off to the new socket, or use a 6 way junction box to extend the ring, or have the radiator fitted to a different wall.
