CD Player Jumping?

Hello. Have been having problems with the CD Player in my Mazda 2 (2005). For the last couple of weeks I havent been able to play tracks on brand new and manufactured CDs. When inserted they start ok but pretty much instantly starting skipping / jumping so much so that a 3 minute track might only last for 30secs. Have tried a CD cleaner with brushes but alas that doesnt even play either. Sincerely appreciate anybody's help!
