Rear Brake Pad removal - Ford S-Max?

That would have been the next thing that I'd have tried but in the end once I realised what needed pushing in what direction it was quite simple to remove the pads.

The only slightly awkward bit is pushing the piston back - it needs to be rotated whilst being pushed in - not easy without the proper tool - but it can be done.

get a 4" grinder and grind the edge of disc to remove the lip on both side's of disc then measure the disc thickness to see whether still in makers (service limit )as replacement's may be required.
