How can i fix my Sanyo DVR V100E combi player?

I bought this described as faulty.
The issue is every disc i put into it ( CD,DVD e.tc) gets read then the message 'No Disc' appears.
Is the laser faulty or something else?
The disc IS spinning and the red laser is scanning.
Please help if you can.
