check again that it has gone by plugging in a charger, I thought my cigarette lighter was u/s for the last two years only to find out it was the charger i plugged in it (and the center bit but since i don't smoke i don't use that anyway). Happy days

take out the centre part the part that glows red then put your finger in the hole and turn anti clockwise it then should unscrew from the back part

I don't know - but I wonder why you might wish to do this.

Either the element piece is defective or the holder part is defective. I have had several elements fail but never the element holder.

If the holder really is broken then you will need to get at it from the rear and push it out after disconnecting the wires. Either that or pull it towards you with the wires still attached.
