I agree one of the biggest problem with macerators is People will use them & block them, people will install them wrongly and blame the maker or supplier it's unfortunate but thats life and how things go down here in the UK.
Explaning to people the waranty is return to base and only for factory defects is fraught with problems today especially under the new laws if you re-brand you take on the makers obligations in full.
Thing is you can sell on Ebay and Amazon as aprivate seller & create a web site claim the earth like some do with no obligations at all they wont check as long as they get paid.
Homac type macerators are made in Ningbo China
whatever the name or claims from the sellers are made in China.

the 400 is a cloned slightly altered Saniflo machine (some parts interchange)
Once a design has been coppied in China every company hops on the band waggon to produce a NEW Cheeper improved model at a better price and like suckers we pay it's only aftewards we find out the problems, the first lot cost around $35 usd each landed in the UK Homac 50, 75, 100 were $18.00 usd so we cant expect them to be perfect, can we ?
Motors can and have had faulty mouldings or lack of oil causing them run out of alignment and after a few weeks or a rapid temprature change whine to death and seize.
This still happens.
Dependant on the models Non Return valves leaked and bypassed the nrv insert causing the machine to run on untill distruction on some the motor cut out was left out in production.
If blocked and the wrong fuse fitted the Pressure switches burnt out causing the wires to the test switch to burn and could short.
Rubber tanks in the homac 100 dis-bonds in normal use, I have seen some similar model pw600 white model tank tops that have been stiched in place all round with a sewing machine !
In Short you aint going to get a cheep machine that works like the original being made from our recycled waste products it may look ok but won't stand the test of time, Thats fact and once bought you try and get your money back or claim on the warranty especially when the maker is in China.
You have to take that into account when buying a cheep machine that's why the macerator market in EU has been flodded by cheep cloned machines & completely decimated by similar looking non EU models.
When buying a machine if it looks the same as another one available with a different name the the chances are its a remake or a clone please do your research properly a macerator is a means to an end and not capable of everlasting opperation and will need cleaning out or looking after from time to time and some EU ones last a hell of a lot longer.
