i had a new memory card?

i don't know how fast it goes
my memory is 2.68 ghz 480mb of ram
operating system is windows xp home edition

Sorry I should have said. It is EXTREMELY unlikely that adding more more memory will have ANY effect on is speed on-line.

I guess that you mean that you have fitted MORE memory as opposed to just replacing the memory card with one containing the same amount of memory? Just replacing the card with a 'new' identical one will make no difference at all.

If you have in fact added more memory, that will only help a PC go faster if the reason that it was running slowly was insufficient memory (RAM).
