dishwasher started working on its own, salt light does not stop the program starting (still on but dishwasher works) will see what happens...

my 6yr old 2006 one now does this too, its been ok up untill this morning, but the salt light is on constantly, tried pwr dn and up-ng filled salt -ng

I too have this same problem! We had the same issue with it a few months ago and it seemed to clear up itself and was working fine again until just before we went on holiday. Now when we switch it on, all the lights illuminate on the programmes but then go out before you can choose one. I am not sure if it is a problem with the door catch or if it is a problem with the electronics. Hope someone can help before we maybe have to replace it with a new one :-(
