ghd hair straightners?

i am currently on my 2nd pair of ghd hair straightners. my 1st pair blew up just were the flex enters the handles i took them to ghd factory and they replaced them with a brand new pair,that was 2 years ago.but the same thing has happened again thay are crackling and smoking very dangerous !this has happened to many of my friends too .does any one know if ghd will replace them again or will i have to buy a new pair as this seems to be a fault on ghd hair straightners
