PVC Door Lock Problem?

Hi,

My front door has a multilock system, it looks like it has 2 small 2 rollers and 2 small hooks on the long strip on the inside of the door.

When the door is unlocked i normaly open the door and the 2 small hooks will lock up into position and stay there until the handle is lifted up, and they would release to lock the door. The hooks wont stay up any more and are constanly in the lock position (always down) so i have to hold the handle down to shut the door.

any ideas what could have caused this?

When you lift handle there is no tension hooks and bolts don,move or lock

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the replys and sorry ive not had a chance to have a look at this, not sure on the manufactuer number and the door can be opened and shut fine, same for locking, i just have to hold the handle down to close the door then life it up to get it to catch so it stays shut.

its the 2 hooks that wont stay in position when i life the handle down
im in bl6 area

Gearbox / MPL failure. Call a locksmith

If the doors is jammed shut expect a charge to overcome mechanism, then quote for whatever needs replacing ie gearbox (if available seperately) or mechanism.
