yardman push mower wont shut off whats wrong ,how to fix it?

yardman push mower will not shut off;even when i let go of the kill switch.what is wrong,and how do i fix it;please?

There is a thin black wire that goes to a clip on the kill switch attached to the flywheel brake.
The cable from the bail on the handle attaches to that
brake. If that wire has slipped out of the clip it can't ground out the coil to kill the engine. It's also possible the kill wire is broken or burnt through somewhere between the coil and the clip.
