Focus Immobiliser?

Hi got 2001 1600 petrol Focus with lost keys I have got a set of locks and ignition barrel etc with key from scrap yard, but i either need a way to program new key or bypass immobiliser. I refuse to be ripped of by ford with their rates for programing keys. and will break the car for parts if i cant find a way round the problem

I have looked at other post for the same problem and there is always some clever sod that pops up and says 'I know how to do it but i am not telling you' they must have inferiority complex and need to try and feel superior.

I can understand not posting it here where the information could fall into the wrong hands, but if some one can genuinly help me could you contact me directly 07813 946114, tryed to put e mail but it wont let me. I no the insurence implications of removing the imobiliser so i dont need post on that thanks. or any other negative answers. I know all that makes me sound like a right misery but I know it can be done because I have done it before on a diesel escort. So any genuine help would be very much apreciated, Thanks

Hi thought i would up date for any body with the same problem. I got a set of locks and keys and the ECU from a scrap yard. And fitted them and the engine starts and everything works fine, and best of all it cost me £50 which is better than being ripped off by Ford. If any body else has the same problem and needs any advice, I am only to happy to help, my number is on the original post.

In theory it should work with the ecu from the donor car

Thanks I will give them a try, you are right the petrol system is far more complicated than the diesel. If the immobiliser is built into the ECU could i fit the ECU from the car i took the locks and keys from, would it start and run then?

Bypassing the immobiliser on the diesel is relativley simple, but on your car it's built into the the engine ECU so making it difficult too override, however this company www.automotiveelectronics.co.uk will be able to help you
