Fitting a new element?

I think the element has gone on my Smeg SUK61XPZ5 oven, despite minimal use and being just a year old. I think it is the element because when I turned the oven on it tripped the fuse. All the other parts are working in the oven, the light, fan, etc. Gas hob is working.
Is it possible to change this yourself? I have found the part on-line but Curry's want to charge me £200.00 for call out and repair!!
